The Akkerman 2000H is an open face TBM with a full face cutting shield.
The 2000H includes an indexed jacking rig with an Akkerman 5000 series jacking system, mucking skips, electric trolleys, lubrication pump system and jacks for inter-jack stations.
The current configuration of the 2000H is 1980mm ID, and can be modified to install larger pipes.
The Akkerman 2000H is suitable for a range of ground conditions ranging from soft clays to firm sandstone.
