The MTS1000A is a remote controlled auger MTBM with a full face cutting shield, complete with an indexed jacking rig, inbuilt laser position monitoring system, control cabin, mucking skips and an electric gantry crane.
The MTS 1000A is able to install pipelines from within a 2.5m ID manhole.
Concrete, ceramic and plastic pipe, ranging from 450mm ID to 600mm ID can be installed with precision accuracy for stormwater and wastewater pipelines.
The MTS 1000A is suitable for a range of ground conditions ranging from saturated running sands to firm sandstone.
